Riptide GP2 is a futuristic water-racing game that puts you behind the handlebars of rocket-powered hydro jets. Races take place across dynamic waterways and high-speed tracks where waves, ramps, obstacles, and sharp turns make every event a test of control. The combination of fast racing and interactive water physics gives each course a distinct feel as you push your hydro jet toward the finish line.
Progression plays an important role in Riptide GP2, with a career system that lets you compete in different event types and earn experience and cash. Race, Hot Lap, Elimination, and Freestyle events provide different objectives, while rewards can be spent on improving your watercraft and rider. There are also nine hydro jets to collect, giving you opportunities to experiment with different performance setups as the competition gets tougher.
Stunts add another dimension to the racing. In Riptide GP2, ramps and jumps give you opportunities to perform aerial tricks and earn rewards while maintaining your momentum. The game includes 25 stunts, along with customizable watercraft performance and appearance options. You can also challenge friends through VR Challenge mode by racing against their best times.
A clean stunt landing off a wave crest resets your boost meter almost instantly, so the fastest racers on the leaderboard are usually the ones pulling tricks mid-race, not skipping them to save time.
